Pros:

leaves skin smooth, controls acne and prevents scabbing picking at acne

Cons:

Pricey

ABout 3 years ago my skin went crazy with acne. I tried proactive but that stopped working, clindamycin, antibiotics, dermatiologist visits and facials but nothing got mu acen under control. What i used prior left my skin congested, bumpy, dry and covered with post acne hyperpigmentation. The obagi system works! Just started on 1st May and I can already see a difference in my skin tone! I use the Obagic 3 step clenziderm during the day and the Obagi clear with retin a at night. Plus i now drink plenty of water. Its just been 2 days and i can see improvement in my skin tone. I will post an update after some weeks have passed.

Pros:

None, this product and all products from OBAGI doesn;t worth the money at all.
I spend $600.00 on Obagi Nu-derm System. The doctor told me that I should continue using it, event after I have all my face red and my forehead with blisters. He assure me that I need to keep going in order to get good results. Nothing further from the truth after 3 months, my face was always red and sore.
I stop because I couldn;t see any good results, just pain, peeling, redness, flaking.
No it has been two

Cons:

months that I have stop using this product and when a little bit of sun struck my face it turns bloody red. Horrible experience!.
I warn all people who is thinking to buy this product: Don't waste your money and most importatn: Don't risk your health!. I have passed through terrible depression to see my face ruin. I wouldn't wish this to my worst enemy.

Pros:

Fights pigmentation, unclogs pores.

Cons:

Initial flakiness, dryness and irritation.

After only 25 days of using Obagi Nu-Derm kit for dry/sensitive skin with Retin A Micro, melasma on my forehead and post-inflammatory pigmentation on my cheeks are almost gone. I have tried topical behind-the-counter hydroquinone and Meladerm with no results. I think the latter actually made my overall skin tone and pigment spots darker. Obagi Nu-Derm kit is truly transforming my skin. I can`t wait to see my skin at week 12.

Pros:

helps rid scarring
prevents acne
clean finish
good smell

Cons:

semi-drying
slight burning sensation at first

Obagi Clenziderm MD - Normal to Oily System: I have used a lot of products to try and rid my face from acne, including Accutane. This is seriously the only product that actually works for me! This was going to be the last product I was going to try - I was hopeless. I read many many reviews and opinions and I feel, for me, I found the best method with this product. Pros:

Gets rid of dark spots almost immediately.

Cons:

Pricey. Lasts a good while though

I only use the obaji clear. If you have dark spots, (smooth but darkened) scars from acne, or pregnancy discoloration that remained post-partum this stuff is awesome. It'll start to go away within a day or two and be totally gone by 2 weeks. It also has a side effect of tightening my pores a bit so I don't seem to get as many really deep pimples, just blackheads.

Pros:

Smooth Skin

Cons:

Ridiculously expensive
Don't need all the creams - total rip off
Requires huge commitment to a whole system with minimal results
Very drying and hard to apply make up on top of
Embarrassing
Blue face for 2 days after the peel

Last year, after hours of research, I took the plunge and went to a private clinic called Transform to have my acne scars corrected. I'm now 27 and have suffered from acne since the age of 13. Nothing seemed to work for me except for going on the pill and antiseptic cream from Boots, however my skin finally seemed to have grown out of having acne and I needed something for the scars and for my low confidence. Firstly although the people in the clinic are nice, they are clearly sales people as well as nurses trying to get you to spend as much money as possible. I paid just over £1000 for the nu-derm system and a blue peel. I religiously stuck to the system for 18 weeks with little results, in fact with more spots than I started with, so they advised another 6 weeks on the system with an increased doseage of Retin A. At the end of the extra 6 weeks the spots had gone but otherwise apart from it being 'lovely and smooth' (the only thing the nurse ever seemed to say about my skin) there was very little, if any, improvement. In September I had my peel and I have never been so disappointed. I was told my skin would be near-perfect but it made absolutely no difference. My skin perhaps more even but the scars were still exactly as bad as they were before. And it made the fine lines under my eyes much worse. Another thing to add to the long list of things I hate about my face! My opinion is that the Retin A is the only thing in the system that really does anything. Transform charge £90 for it and you can go to the doctor and get it on prescription from your doctor for £7. In my experience only thing that works for acne for girls is the pill and anti-septic cream (I use Boots own brand and it's really good) or benzoyl peroxide. I have now been using Skin Doctors Powerbrasion at home for the last few weeks which seems to be working on the scars and I'm now looking into laser treatment as well. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME

Pros:

Works straight away, no waiting to see results.
Easy to follow regime (as long as you stick to it).

Cons:

Don't get it in your eyes!
Mild stinging that lasts for a few hours after use.
May be pricey for some.

This year I had 5 Fraxel laser treatments for my acne scarring and my skin clinic doctor put me on a range of creams that have so far done nothing for the acne breakouts. I was getting sick of the old creams (Aspect) I asked my beautician for advice. She put me on the Obagi Clenziderm system. I'm only in my second week and have noticed my skin breaking out in my problem areas as well as the peeling, BUT I do not use a moisturiser to compensate as you're not supposed to! The system is designed to promote new skin turnover and the production of collagen so the peeling/dryness is a part of that process. Using a moisturiser will make it all ball up and defeats the purpose. My advice for those that are peeling too much or have overly dry skin is to use less of the products in your daily routine and, to help speed things along and reduce breakouts (plus to make your skin feel instantly better) ask your beautician for a Glycolic peel. There is no downtime with one and they're extremely safe. I had one after the first week on the system and am very glad... less skin to shed! Oh, and get yourself an eye cream (I'm using Elastiderm) and a good lip balm to counteract drying in those areas. I will be sticking with this product for as long as I can as I can see the improvements in pore size and pigmentation already. I hope everything keeps going well. And price? It's cheap compared to pretty much everything else I've tried, plus, if it makes my skin better it's worth every cent!

Pros:

- works in the short term

Cons:

- once my skin cleared and i stopped using benzol peroxide my skin broke out.
- stopped working in the winter when the air got dry.
- dehydrates the skin
-contains parabens and lots of other scary ingredients

If you need a quick fix then it will clear skin for a few months but it's not a long term solution.

Pros:

+ it will make my skin a lot smoother/thinner
+ BARELY ANY pimples come up (and if they do, they're just small ones.)
+ my skin looked SO MUCH better after 3-4weeks
+ it made my skin lighter also

Cons:

- during the 1st week, my skin was red
- 2nd week: skin was dry (it was peeling a lil)
- makes my skin a bit tight (so use moisturizer)
- i could barely move my mouth area because it was dry&tight

Okay. I normally don't write reviews, but I just HAD to write one for this product! (which is the clenziderm normal to oily.) I have acne prone skin, but my acne isn't severe. I would just have pimples grow spread out all over my face. Buttt....I was getting tired of it so when I heard about this product, I decided to give it a try. Like I mentioned under the cons, it made my skin red for 2 days and then it became dry for about a week then it started peeling for a week. SO I HAD TO BE VERY VERY PATIENT. after 3-4 weeks my skin was x10000000 better. Now, I get compliments from my family members telling me my skin is a lot better. So I say people should give it a try. :)
