I haven't experienced the nose bleeds, but I've read that you can put some vaseline or Aquaphor on a q tip and put it in your nose which helps.

I've read about people spot treating with polysporin. I tried it, but don't think it did anything so I stopped. But you can try it.

You'll have to wait to treat any scars until you're done with your Accutane treatment.

I doubt the sore throat and stuffed nose are from Accutane. You probably just have a cold or allergies or something.

I think your acne will be clear by September. From most of my reading it doesn't take 10 months to clear up. congrats on the soon-to-be marriage!

It shouldn't. I was told that I don't have to avoid foods with vitamin A, just eat them in moderation... and you being only a week in, it shouldn't affect anything.

That would be so nice! A "normal" dose is 1 mg/kg of weight. I'm 63.5 kg though (140 pounds), so my dose is on the high end if that makes sense. I've never heard my derm make a reference to 1mg/kg tho...

Thanks! I'm supposed to be on it 6 months, but I wonder if they'll shorten it to 5, especially because I'm on a high dose. I was on 40 mg daily for a month, and now 80 for the rest of it.

I don't remember...have you tried Spiro before? I'm thinking once I finish Tane I'll go on retin-a to help with upkeep and redness. And then if my acne ever comes back I'll try Spiro....but if it neve...

I'm pretty sure it's better to take with food than to take it exactly every 12 hours, so I just make sure I take it with breakfast and dinner every day.

I just use a regular lotion on my body right after I shower (in the morning), and then before I go to bed if needed. I don't shower every day though, so sometimes I won't use any one day.

Thanks! I do have some bacne and a tiny bit on my chest (as in maybe 3 zits at a time). My chest is clear, but my back isn't yet. And the flakiness, I take a washcloth to it. Most people don't recomme...

I had an flaky, itchy scalp too, but it went away after about a week.
