Hello everyone (new user on these forums). I have suffered acne for a couple years now and it's finally starting to go down. It has left scars behind though, and I was wondering what my options were in order to treat (or at least fade the appearance of) these scars. I would also like to know what the term is for the scars I have (if anyone can figure out). Any advice appreciated.
You have a combination of icepick and boxcar scars (see below for example). Acne scar is accentuated when the light hits the scar edge. This is why in certain lighting your scars look much worse and in others they're less visible. To minimize the scar edge, you need to basically remove (ablate) the top layer. This can be done with either TCA or ablative TCA.
