I had severe acnes for more than 5 years.

By the way, it is important to sterilize the towel that you useto wash your face with extremely hot water beforeand after use.
Glad you found a solution! Azelaic acid does work fairly well. Around 60% or so if you average out all the studies, so that's not too shabby. I wouldn't expect it to completely clear you up, but if it did for you, that's fantastic.
Regarding the towel, I don't agree that it's important to sterilize it. Here's an article on towels if you wanna have a look.
