I got severe chicken pox at the age of 22 almost 7 months ago. Went to the plastic surgeon who suggested elliptical excision because I had to move to a different country in 2 months and couldn't wait for the scars to mature. It has been almost 4 months since I had the excision. Scars have improved . What should be the next course of treatments? My doctor had suggested fractional CO2 and rf microneedling starting from March but that was before Covid19 .
I am particularly concerned about the one scar near my nose( circled). Also few of the scars have become very light (whitish).
Ps. My phone's camera is not great so the scars look a bit smoother in the photo than they are actually are. I would say they are mild boxcar . Except one circled. It seems like moderate boxcar.
You need to post better photos. Too blurry.
Comparing the before and after of the excision. I'd say there is an appreciable improvement. Contrary to what I thought, the doctor did not excised the whole scar tissue but only a fraction to reduce the depth. Most of my scar were very big in diameter. And I have Indian ethnicity. Below is the before and after of excision.

The photos are still too blurry to see how deep the scars are. Also I'm not sure which is which. Is the photo on the top left taken before the excision and the lower right the most recent shot?
Anyway, how long has it been since you got the excision? Has it been over 3 months? If not, you should wait at least 3 months, preferably 6 months. If you get another treatment before then, you're only disrupting the collagen production.
BTW take picture under a fluorescent light or use an "angled lighting method" by pointing LED light at an angle (not pointing directly at the scars). This will cast shadows and will accentuate the scars...like this

Did you have this in India ? Can you tell your doctor's name ?
