dazzed 219 Share Posted February 26, 2020 (edited) Different wavelengths, different penetration. C02 laser is always ablative, meaning it removes skin and causes bleeding. With erbium, if I remember correctly it can be ablative or non-ablative. Ablative erbium removes skin but does not cause tissue contraction like co2 laser.
