My acne has progressed more as I got older, and it left behind quite a few red acne scars or marks. I™ve tried a lot of products to try and help my skin. I get a few breakouts every few weeks, but the thing that bothers me the most if the left over marks. Can anyone suggest anything to help?
Have you tried applying a topical anti-fungal cream, possibly with some weak hydrocortisone cream (to calm the inflammation) added to it ?
Have you taken antibiotics in the last few months ? years ?? Do you have a white tongue or dandruff ? If yes to one or more of these then what looks like acne may well be candida or malasezzia, which are both fungi. Get back to me if you want more information.
