I have been suffered moderate acne for over 10 years. I haven been taking contraceptive pills for years and it hasn't cleared up my acne. So recently I went for specialist and he prescribed me roaccutane and start from 20mg every other days for 2 months. He asked me went back to see him again in 8th week and do a blood test in 7th week. I just have some following concerns that isn't everyone who taking roaccutane will have blood checking every month? How come my doctor asked me to do blood test after having pill for 2 month?and doesn'tpatient should go back to see doctor after 1 month course? How come my doctor asked me to get back in 2nd month? What if there is some side effects in the middle of period and I wouldn't able tocheck with doctor because I have to wait 2 months finish my course? Do you guys had ever start roaccutance for 20 mg every other day (three times a week) going for 2 months in the beginning? Do I need to vist another dermatologist for having a second opinion?I just being very nervous for starting takethis drug andhaving some worries and questions now. Any answers or suggestions will be much appreciated!!!
