I was wondering if some of you could help me figure out what I can do to stop my acne...
First of all, I am pretty sure I have some kind of fungal acne. I've had it for at least 5 years now. First it started of with countless tiny white bumps on my forehead which where there for a few years and would not disappear at all. Now, a few years later at 20 years my forehead is free but my cheeks, neck and jawline are full of pimples and closed comedones. Now I tried almost everything already....minus birth controll or accutane. I don't even want to know how much money I spend on creams, gels, topicals, facials and peelings at the derm in all these years. None helped. Then I read about fungal acne and now I am pretty sure that that is what I have. My pimples are always near hair follicules and itchy too. Also, I have many closed comedones that just don't go away, even if I pop them. And...after I bought some rosehip oil and used it all over my face a few times, I got even more closed comedones, but this time even on my neck, where I never had had any pimples before These haven't budged yet either, even after using AHA peelings (the ordinary one), topicals, supplements and so on. So now the only thing I feel like I haven't tried yet is an antifungal cream. I already tried H&S shampoo and a clotrimazole cream which both didn't help, so I was wondering that if one antifungal cream doesn't help, another one still could help? As long as it has another active ingredient? I am thinking about trying out a lamisil cream or a nizoral cream...is there a chance they will help better?
