Hi all, was just wandering if anyone has had an effect using benzoyl peroxide 5% like I had. I had been using the peroxide my doctor prescribed for my mild acne for a week and a few days. The first week I noticed a little drying but no other irritation. On day 8 whilst at work I felt a burning sensation in my cheeks. Thought it was just supposed to do that. I wasn't happy with the burning so I didn't apply that night. When I woke up the next day well let me just say I was horrified . the reaction I had to the cream was unbelievable! My face swollen everywhere bar mouth area, very very puffy skin, also bright red sun burnt like skin all over which burnt so terribly. I'm writing this the next day, face still very swollen no burning or itchiness just red faced all over. I'm currently on steroids prescribed for the swelling inflammation. Will the redness go away? I'm very scared please help :'(
