Omega-3 and subcision

Hi!

I'm wondering if taking Omega-3 fish oil capsules will have any effect on the results from subcision. Omega-3 acts as a blood thinner, which makes you more prone to bleeding. Would this be beneficial when having subcision or would it be bad in any way? I take Omega-3 every day for other reasons but I'm considering not taking them a few weeks prior to subcision if it would mean better results. Thoughts?

Replies are appreciated!

Hi

Had subcision 2 days ago.

I also searched the internet if blood thinners like aspirin are used in regards to subcision. What I found is that there is one doctor specifically recommending aspirin for subcision. Another thing would be that I 've read in a study where they used suctioning , stating the effects from suctioning (delayed healing, repeated hemorhage) are beneficial and we know that aspirin increases the risk of hemorhage. I'm taking about 250 mg/day ,thinking it might help.

I had the same question, but I chose to not taking Omega-3. I did subcision five days ago, bleeding too much. The nurse asked me if I had taking aspirin or not. I said no, then I realized it was Omega-3. I searched online and found a article saying Omega-3 would affect accurate healing. So I stopped taking it. I am using suctioning method though.
