The only issue is there are so many options out there i'd love to here what your opinions are on food allergy tests are and which one you would recommened trying out.

- No Fap
- cutting dairy
- gluten free
- Vitamin D

- Dupac Topical Gel
- retin a cream

Ive literally have done 85% of your list. I'm like sick and tried of dealing with something so small. I'm really tempted to do another round of accutane or birth control. But i really don't want to go down that route. It will defeat the purpose of me going holistic and natural. My diet is pretty clean too.Plus accutane caused me to have ibs. I am so healthy. Right now I'm on oxypowder and a candida cleanse. That is the only thing that somewhat keeps my skin clear. Ive just back into for about 4ish days. Ill be doing this with the acne.org regimen. I hope it does me some justice. If not I'm going back on pharmaceuticals I swear that's the only thing that keeps it clear. Yes it comes back but I cant deal with this right now.

I suggest trying the food allergy test!!! It wont hurt!!

So you have tried some medication, but also some things with no or very little scientific evidence behind it, why not try 'science'?
According to Prof. Bodo Melnik acne is caused by western diet: Saturated fat, high glycemic carbohydrates and milk.

https://www.dovepress.com/linking-diet-to-acne-metabolomics-inflammation-and-comedogenesis-an-up-peer-reviewed-article-CCID

So go on a diet low to very low in carbohydrates, and only eat carbohydrates with low glycemic load, high in unsaturated fat low in saturated fat, and no dairy.
After a while without acne you can up the saturated fat.
Start with a very clean diet like this: Raw high fiber vegetables like broccoli, cauliflower, lean meat, fatty fish and olive oil. When you are clear you can slowly start to incorporate cooked vegetables and more saturated fat from meat, if you break out go a step back.

Do not fall for the so called science.  No one has ever been cured of acne by removing carbohydrates from their diet, or sugar.  You are probably sensitive to something you are eating.  Could be food, could be fluoride in the water.  I am sensitive to many foods. http://www.acne.org/messageboard/topic/353197-food-that-causes-acne/
For example, many people are sensitive to red meat and some fish, as am I.  So do not believe any diet will fix your problem.  You need to test foods, one at a time.  The big food groups that may cause you acne are dairy, nightshade plants, and citrus.  Which you need to test.  Another example, I am not sensitive to peanuts, but others on this site are sensitive to peanuts.

There are discussions on the site about whether you are allergic sensitive or intolerant of a food.  Allergic reactions are fast, sensitivities may not show up for 3 to 4 days.  For example, a coworker in my past suddenly started becoming very sick at random times.  So he went to the doctor, and specialists, and finally he was told to record his diet.  The result was he was sensitive to cow.  Not just milk.  If he eat any part of a cow, he was very sick four days later.

Do what competent Doctors and Dermatologists have recommended for decades.  (I am an old guy).

Pick a food you want to test.
Do not eat that food for two or three weeks.
Then eat a lot of the food you are testing for four days.

You will know if that food causes acne.

This is a slow test, as you can only test one item at a time.

If you read my posts you will see I have a ton of scientific studies to back this up.

http://www.jdsjournal.com/article/S0923-1811(07)00363-5/abstract?cc=y=

The above is only from the 1. page on scholar with the search term "acne carbohydrate"

Don't trust science? Try searching for people here on acne.org who has fixed their acne with diet.
First page on google searching "carbohydrate acne.org": http://www.acne.org/messageboard/topic/332435-carbssugars-cause-my-acne-when-in-ketosis-low-carbhigh-fat-i-have-no-acne-at-all-insulin-response/

Or should we just listen to the American Academy of Dermatology?

"No one has ever been cured of acne by removing carbohydrates from their diet, or sugar." Yeah right :D

Well I did. I went on a keto diet and I am completely clear.

This is the unhelpful information on acne:
ESNEY3:   "No one has ever been cured of acne by removing carbohydrates from their diet, or sugar." Yeah right :D

This response is nonsense.  The science quoted never says anyone is cured of acne.  It only says that acne was improved.  Great; Zinc, Vitamin A, Selenium, probiotics, prebiotics, etc. have been shown to improve acne.  They do not cure acne as they do not cause acne.  Everyone needs calories and carbohydrates.  If you are eating too many calories, you will develop lots of problems, heart disease is one of them because excess calories confuse the liver and the liver makes cholesterol wrong.

Science only says there is a correlation, not a causation.  If science knew the cause and cure of acne, we would have no acne.

This is a little helpful information on acne:
W Wolstone:  Well I did. I went on a keto diet and I am completely clear.

Good for you, but that does not prove it was carbohydrates that was the cause of the acne.  To be helpful, you need to provide the diet you originally were eating, and the diet you now follow.  This way people can see exactly what was removed from the diet, and what foods are not causing you acne now.

The bottom line is each person is different and needs to test to see which foods cause them acne.

Again:

Do what competent Doctors and Dermatologists have recommended for decades.  (I am an old guy).

Pick a food you want to test.
Do not eat that food for two or three weeks.
Then eat a lot of the food you are testing for four days.

You will know if that food causes acne.
