19 Years Old And Major Hair Loss From Accutane

I started an accutane regimen last January after my acne didn't respond to other AB's. I was 18 at the time and for the first month I was put on 10 mg pills. When my dermatologist was going over the side effects with me she never said anything about hair loss. If she had, I probably wouldn't have taken it. I felt a change in my hair within the first week of me taking it. It just felt thinner around my temples and I could feel parts of my skull that I couldn't remember ever feeling before. But, I figured maybe it wasn't really thinning so I continued the treatment. It only took a few weeks before I knew for certain that accutane was causing my hair to thin out, become very dry, and recede around my temples. For whatever reason I decided to keep going with the treatment and my dose increased by 10mg each month until I hit 30mg. I took the 30mg for about two weeks before I decided I was done with it. It is now the end of September and my hair has not improved at all. Not even a little bit. In fact, I think it might slowly be getting worse. I was holding on to hope that I got from one forum post that said if the hair will grow back then it will take up to 6 months, but that time is up. Accutane has ruined my life by ruining my hair. Sorry for the extremely long post but any tips on what I might be able to do to maybe get some hair back would be appreciated and if anyone has their own experiences with accutane hair loss to share I'd like to hear those as well.

get a colon cleanse!!!! The same thing happened to me and it was because the accutane was still stuck in my colon and disrupting everything. Also, take Himalaya liver cleanse vitamins, they are the best to clear out the rest of the accutane still stuck in your liver. Lastly, it is very common to become anemic because of an accutane trial and this can lead to further hair thinning, so try to take some supplements with iron. These steps completely stopped my hair loss and my hair slowly but surely came back to the thickness it was before accutane. Also take some biotin, this will help the hair growth. TRUST ME, do these things and your hair will go back :)
