10% Glycolic Peel - Leaving On For Longer?

Recommended Posts

I purchased a 10% glycolic acid peel and have used it a few times, for the maximum recommended time (15 mins). It makes my skin smooth and is helping my acne scars a tiny bit, but barely.

I don't want to go for a professional peel or use a higher concentration at home because there's never a good time for my skin to "flake" for days - I wouldn't be able to leave the house if it did this, or if it reacted with hyperpigmentation.

What would happen if I left the weak 10% peel on for 30 mins? Given my skin doesn't get irritated or red with 15 mins, would it increase the efficacy? Or would it really be dangerous and result in as much peeling and discomfort as, say, 50%?

I have been using this product for a few days now,  my skin is peeling and itchy.
I have dark skin and I leave this product for 10 mins because it's powerful

So, The Jojoba oil helped a lot to reduce the itching
