Hey guys so my doctor put me on accutane to get rid of scarring acne and.. keloid i had for couple of years. ( i am very prone to keloids) however when i woke up and looked on the mirror i had developee these bumps that i never had before.can they be keloids? I have heard that accutane is not recommanded for keloid prone patients? I am very confused please help i am on 30 mg of accutane daily and it has been my 23rd day taking it.

My honest advice with Accutane is it is worth it if you have cystic acne that is likely to scar. I just got off of it a couple of months ago. With that being said, I never got a keloid in my life, until I took Accutane. There was none on my chest, face, neck, however I got some very tiny ones on my upper-back close to my sholders. Keep in mind, you might be breaking out right now, as it's very common to get a very bad break out on Accutane during the first or second month. It doesn't look like keloids.
