Hello first time post the topic ^ ^

Started using this product line because my skin is oily and sometimes small pimples will appear on temple area, forehead area and the lower jaw area. In addition, my face have many printed pox (acne marks) which left for a long time. Tried many products which have salicylic acid, accutane, tartaric acid and azelaic acid, but the effect is almost invisible. Now I used these products for about 2 days and my face started become dark (the whole face not just the acne area) and nothing happened (probably my face is used to irritate because I have used so many irritative products before).

I think the effect of BP is so strong but my face is not so worse, and I search for internet find that BP cannot use to treat printed pox (acne marks). Therefore, I am hesitate whether I should follow the steps or I don't need to use BP so often consider my face situation (maybe use BP once a week?). Can someone have the situation like me or have used BP for a long time tell me that what should I do and what is the long-term effect of using BP after your skin is almost clear? Can I use BP as an acne preventing product or I should stop using BP after my face is almost clear? (on the internet someone says that using BP when your face is clear will cause bad effect like skin aging, dermatitis)

I NEED ANSWER!!!!!!!!!!!!HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Benzoyl peroxide works well to clear the acne you have now as well as prevent future breakouts, but it is not a treatment for scars or hyperpigmentation spots.

Here is Dan's information on what to do once you are clear. http://www.acne.org/faq.html#keepusing

Here's more information on scars and marks.
