I got acne in 8th grade. Now I'm a senior in high school. I feel like acne has really hurt my social life and confidence. I cannot leave the house without makeup. However, the regimen has made my skin sooo dry and flaky and it looks horrible with foundation on top, but my hyperpigmentation is also pretty bad. I have mild-severe scarring on my forehead and cheeks.

I hate looking at myself and I feel so lost and depressed all the time.

I developed acne in the middle of my Sophomore year of highschool. I just graduated several months ago and I am a Freshman in college, and I still have acne. The only time in which it was completely gone was when I went on a nine-week backpacking trip, and funny thing is I only washed my face during this trip two or three times with no regimen for acne whatsoever. Pure exercise and healthy diet destroyed it all. But I digress.

What do you do? What are your aspirations? What are your hobbies? Your values?

Pursue a beautiful life, and it will transform your skin. That is what I have been doing. Pursuing beauty. And it has helped me out tremendously.

Whatever you're feeling is real and true to you. Acne is the worst and really makes you only see the bad things in life. The important thing is to keep going, maybe make adjustments to your routine to try and help with your dryness, be hopeful - and like the above poster, focus on things you enjoy, that makes you happy or at least take your mind off your skin. You can feel bad/sad/angry about your skin, just try to not let those emotions completely take over.

If you get rid of acne, and you finally feel as if you have a life at that point, but you have nothing because you have spent so much time preoccupied with your skin, you will feel terrible.

Definitely focus on as many life changing exploits as possible.

we dont know what it means and will never have luck to find out...

You don't need luck to find out. You only need Google.
