Antibiotics And Skin Healing / Collagen

I am planning on having some procedures done for shallow acne scarring (mostly subcision) over the coming 1-2 months.

My acne unfortunately has flared up recently, despite a very healthy diet and a good regimen. I am considering going on antibiotics for the first time, mainly minocycline or bactrum this week. I've read that since Accutane affects oil production, it interferes with skin healing and collagen production, and one should avoid taking it 6-12 months prior to any procedures.

Do you know if the same applies to mino and/or bactrim? If they do not interfere with the skin healing process and collage production like accutane, then I think it's safe to use them prior to or following subcision.

Any thoughts would be very helpful.

Its fine to take either of those before and during your subcision procedure. very prudent to stay away from accutane before subcision and a year afterwards minimum.due to skin healing correctly from new collagen formation
