I much preferred the wash because it was easier to add into my routine rather than a gel (I have a tendency to over-apply gels). I'm using the Benzac W Wash but 10% and I use it with Aveeno Fresh Essentials face wash. Try to go with a very basic face wash - no alcohol, very minimal acne targeting contents. You don't want to aggravate your skin more on top of the benzoyl peroxide, nor do you want to risk causing a reaction by throwing too much chemical onto your face at once. You're definitely going to need a good moisturizer that isn't too oily/greasy with this however, as it is definitely drying.

I'm using the following products in conjunction with the Benzac W Wash:

• Aveeno Fresh Essentials Face Wash
• Vichy Aqualia Thermal Moisturizer (A little bit of this stuff goes a long way AND it's a very light formula - just a bit pricey, however one jar lasts me a good year)
• There isn't any specific scrub/exfoliation regime you NEED to follow with Benzac, but I like to use my spin for perfect skin once a week
• If you're someone who wears makeup use something gentle like Avene Micellar Lotion (it's really gentle)
