I have very bad skin texture and alot of it have been due to these hard yellow plugs (comedomes i think?). They don't go away on their own and I have to squeeze them out (bad I know) but they get refilled again. Once squeezed, little holes are left behind which I think are icepicks. They're all over my forehead and cheeks and you can see them in the pictures.

I'm currently starting tretinoin (Retin A) to see if it helps and was wondering if any of you with experience with these plugs or scars have any suggestions for anything that works to reduce them. I was considering dermastamping and TCA cross to treat the little holes and bigger ones in the pictures. Do any of you think they might be good treatment options for this type of scarring?

Also, something else that contributes to bad texture, mostly forehead and cheeks is that I get these underskin pimples, which I leave alone. When they get smaller, its as though the contents in them dried up and they are stuck under the skin. They feel very firm and hard to the touch and sometimes if I squeeze they come out similar to the hard yellow plugs or as a thick string of white/yellow mass.

PLEASE HELP!

The last pic is the hard yellow plugs.

Sorry, I'm new. It seems that that there are 2 topics of this one with pics, this one doesn't have. Here they are though.

You might want to ask a mod to merge your topics or delete one. They're identical. It's a bit spammy and unproductive.

im gonna say this now you only have mild scarring but before it gets worst

stop picking your skin or touching it because it will lead to scarring and bacteria spread because your hands are very dirty

keep using the retin a

eat healthy limit your sugar intake , greasy food

when the redness/brownmarks go away it will look better but for now use retin a for 1-3 months to see results

You are very lucky as your scarring is extremely minor. I would bet that most people would not even notice it. Keep your hands off your face and resist the urge to pick.

Thanks for replying. I'll officially stop picking my face starting today and continue the retin A. But I have these bumps under the skin that are actually under the brown and red marks in the photos. They don't look raised but are very deep, if you were to press against them, they are very firm and before when I squeezed, white gunky material or solid yellow plugs come out. Any help on what to do with these will be appreciated.
