What is the best way to get rid of this? I don't have much active acne left but this redness stays for ages. I've been doing the regimen along with cutting out dairy, changing my pillowcases daily. I've been doing lactic acid peels to try and fade the marks. I did one, and it seemed to work well, then I did a second one a week or so later and it seems to have done nothing. I have some red and blue led bulbs on the way. I don't know what else to try.

Hi! My dermatologist told me that hyperpigmentation is part of the healing process, and that the longer the area is red, the less likely it is to become a scar. This was hard for me to believe, but hopefully it's true.

Anyway, I actually use oil on my acne marks. Pure Vitamin E, Pure Grapeseed oil, and Jojoba oil are among some of the most effective. Just a little bit is all you need, and rub it in gently. I think the key is to keep the red marks/scars moist to promote healing. Vaseline is also sometimes helpful, but it's much thicker of course and feels pretty heavy on your face. Just be careful about breakouts, natural oils have never seemed to make me breakout, but others say that they do.

Multivitamins are also great to help speed along the healing process of the skin. Zinc and Vitamin A are important.

Hope this helped a little bit.

AHA has really helped me with my red marks. I do the regimen as well and I find that spot treating with AHA before applying BP made the marks go away much faster for me.
