hey people!

i have suddenly got this small whiteheads like zits .two actually on my cheeks.

i will be leaving for a trip in 2 days.

its not the zit or its small head thats bothering but the halo like redness around it.

although its tiny but its looking pretty gross from distance...primarily for its redness.

i've washed my face as usual with saslic(salicylic acid face wash 1%) and applied clindamycin phosphate(last night) and a lil' bp(just on the head right now)...in shower i've washed it with scalpe(anti-fungal shampoo..just the zit),incase its fungal.

can u help me reduce the halo of redness?

i will be applying my sunscreen melagard 50+ on my face(and body) when i leave for the trip.but i dont mean to put any make up or concealer (atleast on on that) for i'm afraid it will worsen zits/whiteheads(also its summer herecrazy.gif )

anything else i can do to make it look manageable?

kindly help!

i'm attaching two pictures of what my right cheek looks like(it does have PIH which are mostly light with time, but a hypertropic scar and a few not-so-old post-acne mark.but i have only two zits which are small but RED)

the double arrowed spots are my zits while others are PIH, and uneven tone post accutane(i had dry cracked skin as sideeffect)

your skin doesnt look bad atall! will you swap with me? ;)

try drinking plenty of water and also apply some WHITE toothpaste the the redness and leave on to dry and then go to bed and by the morning, the redness should have subsided (if not completely then a substantial amount)

Your skin looks good, I don't know why you are worried. Plus, the stress makes it seem worse, so stop stressing! You can try calamine lotion for the redness, but only apply it topically otherwise it will dry out your skin. You could also try applying honey topically to calm the redness, but honestly, it's not bad at all. Have you seen the kind of serious acne people on here are dealing with??? You shouldn't sweat the small things and be thankful that you only have minor spots on your face that are truly not noticeable.

Seriously, your acne is ridiculously mild. Have you seen other people's pictures here on acne.org?

Try something anti-bacterial, some topical with tea tree oil for spot treatment or benzoyl peroxide overnight. Wash your face with a mild soap like sebamed.

hi!

i must say that like many here,my cam hasnt done me good.my marks are a lil' more deep.

but in any case,i do understand ur point about many other severe sufferers.

well,u must have seen the reason for me freaking out!

i admit i am being stupid here but i just lose it at times.

i need to visit a place on the 6th(thats 3 days from now)i'm not playing with as of now.

just leaving it alone for now.

i'll be applying clindamycin phosphate and washing my face with saslic as i usually do.regular routine.

thanks guys for such support.it does feel great with u all here.=)

btw,if i have to figure out how they happened...i've two possible reasons.

one,i had used an anti-fungal shampoo for fungal growth and that might have cause this(dermatitis)..i was told earlier that something might happen but am not sure if this is it.

2ndly,its summer here in india and i spent hours cooking a 3 course meal for my parents when they were out.

i was all sweaty and greasy later.

=(.

Don't worry about it.....stress makes it seem worse. Just relax and go about your usual routine and pretend you don't notice itcool.png
