My acne has pretty much subsided and now I'm wondering what would be the best approach to treat my scars. I took several pictures at different angles so the scars would show clearly. There are definite indentations across my cheeks but my skin texture is also really really rough. I will go to a specialist but first I wanted to ask the forum. I'd really like to hear from someone who might have had similar scarring and how you handled it. Thanks in advance!
About me: 26, Hispanic female
Acne history: Hormonal, severe (but now gone or at least under control 
Past treatments: antibiotics, topical retinoids, 3 microdermabrasions, NO Accutane NO birth control
you could go the dermarolling route I think. You do seem to have a bit of active acne in the area where scars are though so you may want to hold off until you are clear of acne.
You scars do not seem severe, they are more rolling scars. You could look at treatment options for rolling scars other than dermarolling as well.
Check out my thread below: "Dermarolling and Shallow Scar Log." You could try dermarolling. Tips after doing it: Use a good Vitamin A and C serum (I am about to start using True Radiance Vitamin A & C Serum). Roll vigorously with a 1.5 mm roller. Take oral Vitamin C.

If you have the money ($3k) I'd suggest doing something like Fraxel Re:pair.
Oh yeah, dermarolling also takes a long time (like 6 months to a year) to start seeing results.
@Waterboy and jamie10 ---> Thank you for your input! I'm considering dermarolling but definitely need to do more research on it. The idea of damaging my skin in order to repair it makes me nervous, I'll be honest. Headed over to the threat to read more.
I think the people here who have tried Fraxel Re:pair or Deep FX would recommend it for you, too. I don't have any experience about lasers myself, but since you seem to have mostly mild rolling scars, it would seem like a good option.
Edit: I looked at your other pictures in the gallery and I didn't see any rolling scars at all! I guess I just mistook shadows or hyperpigmentation for scars. Maybe you could just get a TCA peel (by a professional) or do dermarolling if you feel like it. In any case, I wouldn't really judge my advice since I'm only figuring out what to do myself.

If you can find a doctor who is patient and will perform subcision carefully one by one on each scar then I think you will have good results on some of those scars. Just make sure you don't go to a doctor who has no skill and just blindly sweeps under your skin with the needle, damaging healthy tissue along the way.
@Austra: Haha wow what a turn around! It is true in some pictures my scars look more severe than others. The ones in this post are taken with my dslr in daylight so they kind of exaggerate the "hills and valleys" of my face.
@Trador: It is interesting that subcision has come up a lot for my scars, I hadn't considered it before. I wonder which is more cost effective- laser vs. subcision? I don't have the balls to needle my face. Just. too. scary.
@sanjoseskin: You're right the last thing I want is more damage. At this point I'm just considering options though, I won't be doctor hunting until I move back to the US. Thanks for your input!
