is it true that toothpaste can clog your pores? ive noticed over the last few months that ive started getting quite a few blocked pores just below my lips and also some little red spots aswell in the general mouth area. its nothing too serious but just annoys the hell out of me because the little clogged pores have to become big spots at some point, right?

then i read that toothpaste can be a possible cause of acne situated around the mouth and remembered that i changed toothpaste around february time to a whitening one. i just want to either dispel this myth before i possibly change toothpaste and stop receiving compliments on how white my teeth look :D or confirm that the new toothpaste could be the reason for these spots around my mouth.

Sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS) is a common ingredient that can irritate skin so when your toothpaste foams around the mouth, it can cause breakouts.
