Hi. I've recently had a severe allergy on my legs and thighs. I wanted to use Acne.org glycolic acid as an exfoliant to remove the blemishes. Will it work? And how regularly should i use?

Remove allergy blemishes? Got a picture? What gave you the allergy?

The AHA+ is a strong exfoliant so it will exfoliate if that's what you are looking for, but I'm not sure if it will remove blemishes from an allergy. If I had to guess I'd say no.

@dan I got the allergy after consuming too much meat & milk ; i am guessing its a protein allergy.

I got breakouts all over my legs and some on my thighs. I am now left with dark spots everywhere and i don't know how to get rid of them.

I thought that since exfoliating removes the dead skin; most of these dark spots would eventually fade & dissappear. Plus the AHA Glycolic Acid is a strong exfoliant. Kindly advise how i can clear these spots. Attached are the images.

Ah I see. You can apply the AHA. It might help a bit. But nothing is going to be a magic bullet.

Most important: Keep those areas out of the sun. And whatever you do, DO NOT PICK.

Other things you can do: Take some fish oil. Exercise. These will help with healing.

And lastly: Don't worry about it and give it time. They will fade.

@dan Thank you for the advise. Once they dry up and the itchiness goes away....Is it okay if i go in with benzyle peroxide & AHA Glycolic acid every other night?

Since benzyle peroxide is a drying and peeling agent. Would it also help?

Benzoyl peroxide probably won't help because it's not acne. It probably wouldn't affect it either way.
