The gut is by far one of the most important things to consider during this process. It very hard to fully wrap someone's mind around the fact that your gut can determine the health of your skin and MANY others things. Thank you for taking the time to reply in here!

Doing a small follow up. From the first day i posted until right now, i can confidently say that STRESS is what caused a lot of my inflammatory problems. Learning how to stay calm is detrimental to health overall. Just a reminder that acne was not my only inflammatory issues. I had bad joint pain and also had inflamed iris(eyes) which caused me to lose some vision in my right eye permanently. Everything i have mentioned for the acne can help this problems also.

Meditate, stay active, drink lots of water, eat foods that were alive or from the earth (not packaged or processed) and most importantly dont let your anxiety/stress get away from you. You are what you think, and my mindset was not great for a long time.

Yes, stress is the number one cause of inflammation. One way to overcome stress is by maintaining a strong immunity, and strong immunity starts from your gut. Obviously, a healthy gut requires good diet. Good diet, however, isn't good enough without right amount of exercise, including meditation. So I think you are the right track. With that said, congratulation on your progress.

I am a firm believer that stress is the number one cause of inflammation. I actually have looked into medicinal mushroom supplements for my overall immune health. I recently just bought paul statements daily immune support which is a cocktail of medicinal mushrooms. Good for everything going on in the world considering covid. And yes i am constantly taking probiotics and eating yogurt to stay on top of gut health. Any other secret or unknown weird ways to fix gut health i would love to hear about. Its hard to meditate to solely remove stress from my life sometimes but i do think its the best way. Ive practiced many hours of meditation.

Recently have been taking ice baths for immune support and it helps me meditate shortly after.

Thank you for your reply its greatly appreciated.

Today on july 10th 2020 i have done a humira injection. It has been about 8 months (december of 2019) since i have last done an injection. The natural methodsof combating inflammation and my autoimmune problems have finally started to allow the inflammation to slowly creep back up indetrimental amounts. Those 8 months without it my body honestly felt amazing and did great. Was happy to be off of such a strong drug.Few inflammation problems on my skin in some places but other than that i believe my disciplined health routine kept the inflammation at bay compared to what it would have been if i did nothing and lived an unhealthy lifestyle. Today i remain to be healthy and get lotsexercise with an extremely good diet. Everyday before i eat or drink or do anything i first think how it affects inflammation and my body. I am constantly revolving everything around inflammation and my immune system. This seems like a step back for me, but in reality its a lot better than doing humira every week or month. Stay healthy!

Hey Dwalth
i realise this is an old thread but couldn't help wanting to let you know of some things to maybe look into if you're still struggling with any of these issues.
i also have arthritis and stumbled across 'the paddison program' recently. It's a natural approach to healing arthritis through diet and exercise. The basis of it is that a unhealthy gut/unbalanced microbiome among others is one cause of arthritis (this seems to line up almost perfectly with your heavy use of antibiotics and prednisone which can damage the gut). Many success stories online, I thought you might want to check it out.
for the scarring, maybe also look at dermarolling for you haven't already heard of it, have read it can be effective for scarring. Also, check out the link between using the anti dandruff/antifungal shampoo nizoral (ketoconazole) as body wash and acne fulminans. I have read that it works against DHT. Each of these have better info if you research into them individually via google, just pointing u in the direction of these possible treatment options if you haven't heard of them before. Have you got an update about how you're doing?

Thank you for informing of this program. I am willing to look into anything that can potentially discover a new treatment for inflammatory acne and disorders. All of our bodies are different but the science behind acne problemsis very similar for all of us. Really appreciate you taking the time to make an in depth reply and i apologize i somehow missed it. As of today iwould say i amdoing a 7/10 with everything going on. Mainlyjust too much skin inflammation at this point in time but lots of lesions are enough to know that other problems could easy follow.

Hey i havent posted here in a while buy i have not forgotten about this forum. I stopped humira due to health insurance in about 2023. Was doing about 1 month trying to make all my shots last longer, then i just quit.

Yes the inflammation returned and no matter what i do, it seems to be pretty consistent with my skin. Occasional back pain/ joint pain. No eye inflammation and for the most part its 80% better than what it ever was.

Ive gotten lazy with my self care on inflammation because it gets tiring always revolving every decision around inflammation. But recently i have picked up my momentum on taking care of inflammation again.

Currently i am on a no added sugar diet with no fried foods and try to visit the suana atleast 1-2 times a week. I try to get vitamin D from sun exposure everyday and do moderate exercise.

The inflammation has weeks where its worse and some weeks it seems to be gone. Probably due to stress or constant fatigue on the situation of my health. Ive come a long way with this journey and all the scars remain with a little more added on along the way of time. By this time i thought id find a natural cure or something that is a little more than treatment. Humira does work very well but i had fear of what it was doing to my body and its not easy to get.

In conclusion the things i found best are

-no sugar (or added sugar)

-no alcohol/weed/absolutely no cigarettes

-no caffeine (raises body temp, tea seems to be ok)

-no harsh chemicals on your skin

-no fried food

-no stress (hard to do)

-Take probiotics or eat them through diet

-eat healthy

-sun exposure or vitamin D

-salt baths (i still think these help alot and pair well with sun exposure) if i were close to and ocean i think sea water and sun would help a lot

-calming down or meditaion (goes with no stress but its important)

-deep breathing (i have quit all smoking, vaping, and anything that pollutes my lungs) your body can heal with the correct oxygen and deep breathing helps stress.

-getting the correct amount of sleep (no staring at screens all night go to bed early and wakeup early)

-exercise (go on walks or do anything to burn calories and get your body flowing)

These are things all people should do to help treat a lot of different health problems and i try my best to follow them all. I get restless from time to time but these are the best things that help if you are not on anything prescribed or not seeing a doctor.

I currently take no prescriptions, no injections and nothing besides a multivitamin. It feels weird but ive been trying to repair my body for what feels like all my life.

Good luck out there if you read this and much love
