Hi,
When I was 16 - 18 (I am 24 now) I had a lot of break outs on my nose, some of which have stayed on as hideous bumpy scars. The bumps are relatively hard and make my nose feel rough. I know people tend to notice them because sometimes people tend to touch their nose when talking to me. Below are some images (the lighting makes them appear less severe than they really are)
What is the best treatment?

I've only used it twice and my skin looks much brighter and some of my scars are smoothing out a little.
I definitely know what you guys are going through. Been here in acne.org for so long and read so many studies, testimonies, etc. one things is for sure the nose is the worst part to have any type pf scarring be it indented or hypertrophic. Though, i asked one person who had indented scars on his nose a long time ago if he had any bumps or hypertrophic scars on his nose. He said he "used to have those" and then he never replied back probably because he was looking for help and not looking forward to help others.
Anyway, i got 6 bumps on the rights side of my nose and 4 on the left. Not very pleasant as they are very noticable. To give a better image, it is like a pimple almost like a cyst but no redness. But they do become red easily, compared to the skin around them.
I havent done any lasers or things of the sort simply because im still a student (no fund) and have other major priorities.
I still visit acne.org once in a while hoping there's something new. But i really do hope for you and other nose scar sufferers especially bumps/hypertrophic scar sufferers find a solution.
Agne have you not tried fasting yet? This is my 2nd day, why dont you come along with me so we'll both share experiences. Its really hard to do fasting if you do it by yourself.

I guess this topic is rarely seen because only a very few persons are experiencing nose scars. I heard that 50%tca cpuld cure indents, but depending on nose scar location. The fatty part of the nose i heard responds well to this. I feel for you. I have a scar at my nose too.

read through the all the posts in the thread though..
And somewhere in youtube I saw a video by some old wizened dermatologist suggesting rubbing the raised scars with vaseline for a couple of minutes with vaseline (for a few months) should reduce the size of the scars (vaseline to prevent excess irritation from rubbing, he said)
I haven't tried any of these myself, even though I'm suffering from the same problem, but I have been considering doing it for quite sometime now. I'd think twice before burning off the scars with vinegar, try them on some other scars on less visible parts of your body and then the face. Keep in mind that skin on face and other parts of body are different (for me, skin on face tends to show little discolouration on scarring than on back/butt :/ )so you might have to try it on a bit of your face too.
Also, I'd first go with the more conservative treatments like rubbing with vaseline and the first thread(just putting vinegar dipped cotton on scar) then if it fails try the second thread (scrubbing off with vinegar)

so I suffer from the same thing on my nose. They started appearing my first year of junior high school, each time my hormones fluctuated a new pimple would appear on my nose and because I didn't know how damaging it was, I would pop them. Once I stopped popping them, I noticed that they would go away on their own, and they wouldn't leave any new scars. However, the older scars remained. I'm 21 now, and somehow I'm just now getting a handle on my skin. I've been using African Black Soap, and 100% coconut oil to reduce the appearance of my bumps. Also drinking a lot of water does help, as well aseating less junk food. Although the bumps on my nose are still there, I do notice a change in their size, also my nose does appear smoother, whichmakes them less noticeable.
How about cortisone injections? do they help? I too have acne bumps on my nose and there are 3 distinct ones in the middle of my nose forming a line 
I can't even look at myself in the mirror. I'm only 18 but have been dealing with cystic acne for 4 years 
The nose truly is the worst part to have acne scars because it's very visible :< I've had way more cystic acne on my chin but the scars there are very minimal... Whhyyyy :< This makes me so self conscious 
@SadUserFor a nose condition like this CO2 laser works well but it's expensive, the nose is cartilage and not like most skin on the face, ... big pores, more oil glans, takes a while to heal. Some have done electro surgery with a derm on their spots, or tca peels with a doctor or med spa. Cortisone injections are not so good as they can create indents that take forever to fill and leave a possible pit.
Starting about 2 weeks following skin repair, scar tissue starts to grow and thicken. This is a normal process of healing which could make the surgical area look worse. The thickening of the scar can also be known as hypertrophic scarring. Keloid scarring, an extreme case of scar development, is rare and is characterized by a ballooning scar lump in the repair place. Most scars, particularly of the face, resolve rapidly and without hypertrophy. No scar management is necessary in those circumstances. Other areas such as the chest, back, shoulders, and thighs heal with hypertrophic scarring better part of the moment.
Hello guys I'm also suffering same problem well I have scars. On my full face accept forhead but you know guys nose was very visible everyone see and told me hey dude what is this on your nose I feel like I'm die I locked my self in room and start cry

I am suffering from the same problem too. I had breakouts on my nose every once a year (happened since I was in high school and now I am a soph in college) and they left raised bumpy scar each time they were gone. now, I have +/- 7 ugly bumps on my nose. No need to explain all the feelings I've felt for all these years since we all know exactly how that feels.
So, about a month ago, I went to a dermatologist and they suggested a laser treatment called oilseed removal laser. At first, I was kind of confused because when I googled that treatment, it doesn't seem like it was the right treatment for this problem. It's meant for little-raised dots (not caused by acne) under your eyes (perhaps you want to look for it yourself). but, nonetheless, I listened to my dermatologist and I did it. Right after the treatment, all the bumps went away just like that and all left were just red/pinkish spots (which were just basically my nose without the skin; LOL idk how do I explain this, but it's like when you scratch the dried wounds). They gave me some topical cream, one to help healing the spots and another one to prevent them from becoming dark spots. for the first two weeks, I could see what the creams did to my skin but after that, the reaction just stopped. I called my dermatologist and he said that's normal and told me that I should wait for another 2 or 3 weeks to see the progress and then decide if I want to proceed with the next treatment. They asked me to take some photos every week and give them to my personal therapist for reference and for me to see the progress myself.
Now that it has been a month, I would say that my nose is looking better and the bumps went down a bit than before. We have agreed to proceed with another same treatment next week.
tbh, I am still not 100% sure that this treatment will work to get rid of the bumps completely but looking at the progress, I think I should go for a second treatment. or maybe it will even require me to do the third treatment to really see the improvement (third time is a charm, right )
and plus, I have been reading through this website for years now to look for the solution to my problem and it made me very sad that no one has actually found any solution to this yet. So, seeing this little improvement has made me believe that I might have found something that finally can help me.
Anyhow, I am really looking forward to my next treatment and in shaa Allah, I™ll post an update on it here

The worst of the worst !
Same experience and feelings about this bumby problem ' i had big pimple breakout in my nose when i was HigSchool and this what happened after they are all healed. Big bumpy disgusting scars leaving in my nose. Im here to find any suggestions and solutions of how to rid this 16 bumbs in my nose i can only show the right part in my nose where's it's has really severe bumby scars. This is not normal anymore' i always lonely watching in the mirror because of this, i need help! I tried scar cream and ointment and dermaroller in able to rid this thing in my nose but nothing change still the same'. I noticed every people that see my face they automatically nosepicking of their nose like they have dirt or feel itchy of their nose after watching my nose having this disgusting bumps
^^^^ I agree (fraxel laser and injections are thebest, EVEN for dark skins like mine). I've had bumps on my nose for probably 8ish years and I'm 23. Most topical treatments had virtually no success (peels, retina A, tazorac, apple cider vinegar???). Great for preventing acne but nothing for the scars. Most dermatologists didn't provide me with much help either.
However when I moved toPhiladelphia for grad school I met with a derm that recommendedFraxel. My scars are now significantly reduced. It will take MULTIPLE sessions though (3 for me). The first time the difference will look faint and almost a waste but the second and third time is where I noticed a difference. BUT, on the second and third time I did do the steroid injections on prominent bumps and that likely helped a lot too. For darker complexion individuals i would recommend it as well as I myself am black and pretty dark. You might have maybe one or two spots of hyper pigmentation (I have one small one) but they go away after a while which is a lot better than having bumps which don't.
WARNING: AVOID ANY PROCEDURES THAT USE A MICRO-CAUTERIZING NEEDLE LOL.So when I started finding laser treatments around a year a go and before I met the doctor in Philadelphia Iwent to this place in DC and got a CO2 laser treatmentwith a bit of microcauterizing (they used a laser but then they also poked my nose with a needle for some kind of microcauterizing thing , these were not injections). Subsequently after the treatment the areas that were poked formed new bumps. Yes new ones. It wasn't too bad because I did see some improvement but again, I'm sure the last thing you want is new bumps. So if you do go somewhere for treatment ask if the treatment incorporates any kind ofmicrocauterizing/poking/pricking/etc. Unless it is injections any treatment with any kind of poking should be avoided (there is a treatment called microneedling that I have heard of before but I am unfamiliar with its use so I can't attest to it's efficacy or lack thereof).

Did your bumps flattened out?
Im jumping from derm to derm trying to find a solution for these nose bumps, but the majority of the derms dont know how to treat if effectively too thats pretty sad.
please do NOT rush to use electrosurgery. There ahas been quite some confusion around the topic of nosebumps. Rhinophyma, Sebaceous hyperplasia, Hypertrophic Scars from acne, are all conditions which may appear very similar in appearance but need different approaches. Electrosurgery is recommended for sebaceous hyperplasia but what the guy has above is hypertrophic scarring from acne (not overgrown sebaceous glands).

Try getting steroid injections on them, and massage after the injections. The hope is that the steroids will destroy the irregular fibrous tissue which has formed the scar.

I have the same problem with you guys, but it turns out that we are still experimenting and did not know what to do, the only thing we know is we allhave bumps on our nose that searched for thebest solution. I hope some dermatologist approach us and give us advise about our problems, btw I already do some treatment like fractional co2, subscision and tca cross, because suffer fromacne scars as well and it works really well on my face but the bumps on my nose is still there. I want to ask my dermatologist about this, but I have a feeling that she will recommend a expensive treatment that I cannot afford, because I already paid all my allowances and even my savings in those treatments for acne scars, so im hoping that I can find a affordable treatment for those bumps specifically

let us know when you find a good treatment. Scars on nose are truly the worse but let's stay hopeful
