hi so i have this spot that has came up on my nose and it started out as a pimple, i messed with it and it became very red and irritated. i went to the dermatologist and she gave me a steroid shot and told me it should be gone in 4-6 weeks. after about 5 weeks it did look less red but was still there. i decided to go back and they gave me epiduo. they said we could try this for a couple weeks and if no change i could think about lasering. i was way too nervous for lasering because i didnt want to risk something going wrong and causing permanent damage to the spot. so ive been using epiduo for about 2 months. it seems to help the redness when i put it on but when i wake up the next morning (i put it on every other night) it looks pink again. should i go back to the dermatologist or keep using the it because i have read that it can take awhile to completely clear spots. and i am pretty sure the spot is PIE but im not completely sure. if anyone has any treatment suggestions for this kind of spot pls tell me. i have the clinique 3 step treatment would that be something that could help the spot? or would the epiduo be better? pls i need someone to help me

hey, I used epiduo myself for 6 months, with no results...
So if you haven't seen any good results in 2 months then I would recommend to go to the dermatologist to get another solution.

My personal recommendation is to change the diet for a couple of weeks, quit dairy, refined sugar and unhealthy fats.
And then use a skincare routine for the topical treatment on the side.

Just pm me for more advice :)

thanks for your response! i have noticed a small amount of change it has gotten less red but it™s still there and i thought it would be gone by now. i would rather find another option instead of going back to the dermatologist. do you know of any other treatments to get rid of PIE? also did you have PIE or the same kind of spot as me or did you have something different?

The PIE will fade away over time, but if it's a deep cyst it might take even years...
So if you have PIE atm I would recommend to use aloe vera on the spots during the evenings, this will heal the affected area.
Then once a week I would exfoliate the skin, with either lactic acid (yoghurt) or with a clay mask.

Just message me if you want instruction on this :)
cheers
