2 weeks ago I had suffered second degree kettle burns on my legs ( I think they were second degree as the doctor or nurse never classified it) After the burn my skin had turned red and thick as shown in the picture. Only one blister had occurred and over several days the skin began to become brown and dry. Then, after another few days it had began to flake off and underneath there is now a pink skin which has red blood vessels that are visable. Also, when I am cold the skin turns a deep purple. Are these scars? Will my skin turn back to normal??

I would recommend medical grade manuka honey dressings for this.

I think your skin will eventually go back to normal...at least with minimal scarring, may take a few years but that's just my opinion. Sorry you got those nasty burns!
