I'm a 26 y/o female with acne scarring concerns.
I had great skin until my 20s when I changed birth control pills. It took me 3 years to figure out that my birth control pills were actually causing my acne. Now I'm left with scarring.
I have extremely large pores. I always have, especially on my cheeks.
The scarring seems to be pink marks that are clustered mostly on my cheeks and chin. However, I have noticed some small "holes" or enlarged empty pore spots?
Sorry for my terminology. I have never seen a dermatologist.
I'm looking into what I can do in concerns to this type of scarring. Mostly, getting rid of the pink marks.
I have taken a few photos (as best as I could) to illustrate what I'm taliking about.

I don't know if there's anything you can do about the enlarged pores or "holes", but you have to get your acne under control to prevent more scarring. Are you using anything for your acne? Since you've never seen a dermatologist, I'm assuming you're not using any prescription meds. I would suggest that you go to your general doctor, doesn't have to be a dermatologist, and get a prescription for a Rx strength azelaic acid such as Finacea gel, or Skinoren cream/gel. I love it, it works great for acne and inflammation/redness. It take a while to work, but for me the redness went away quickly but you have to use it everyday and if you stop it may come back.
