Hello all, long time lurker but I need some help myself now. My cheeks have been clear for a long long time and last Thursday I went to bed perfectly clear. Friday morning I woke up with a cyst like pimple. I decided to warm compress and Epsom salt it and it was just below the surface. My mistake is I took a needle and popped it and then applied pressure around to get all the gunk out. After I popped it I disinfected it with tea tree oil and hydrogen peroxide. The pimple is gone.. But now I have a huge red mark right in the middle of my fair skinned cheek. So it sticks out like a sore thumb. There now appears to be a white lump in middle and raw red skin around it. How do I go about healing this and getting back to normal asap? Thank for the help. Pics are below.

You probably shouldn't have lanced it yourself. From my experience, whenever there is a big pimple, the safest way to avoid scarring is to see a good derm very early (to catch the inflammation early on) and have them lance the pimple gently. At this point, the best thing to do is to apply polysporin or tea tree oil to keep it moist, and just hope that with time it heals. I had a slightly smaller pimple compared to this, popped it myself, initially had a shallow indent and a lot of redness, but it went away after 6 months or so, so it can take a lot of time.
