18/m Suffering From Terrible Hyperpigmentation And Wrinkles On Forehead

I am 18 currently. I suffered from terrible acne for 2 years and mild acne in the last year. It cleared up a month ago but I am left with this HORRIBLE hyperpigmentation. I get a few pimples but nothing too major.

I also have these fine lines on my forehead.. were these caused by acne? They are not really noticeable unless I am 10 cm away from mirrors but other people dont seem to have lines like mine. (only defined and deep lines.) mine looks like they are due to aging...

Aren't everyone's forehead smooth like their cheek? My cheeks look really smooth but my forehead looks so bumpy with large pores. My forehead when I raise my eyebrows as much as possible. So many lines! looks like leather. :

Forehead when eye brows aren't raised. normal face. they are still not very smooth. :

My questions:

1.Will these hyper pigmentation spots/patches ever fade? Or will I need to get treatments? I have been using 2% salicylic acid cream every night for around 9 days.

2.Were these wrinkles caused by acne?? Am i the only one who has these? Are there any treatments? The picture shows my right side, which is worse than my left. I think it also might be because I used to raise my eye brows a lot when I talked and I raise my right eye brow more subconsciously. (when smiling too.. I use my right face muscle more. Just noticed today)

Thanks. any help would be appreciated.

I'm not sure if you're from the UK, but, if you are, get yourself to your GP. They'll put you on some anti-biotics for your active acne, and that'll improve things a lot. Like they say, prevention is the best cure. I was put on a course of anti-biotics about 6 weeks ago, and it's cleared my skin almost completely of active acne, and even my scarring looks better for it.

As for the other things, I'm not too sure, so wait for someone else to reply

Just wondering, are you asian?Literally every spot for me, whether I pick or not leaves a mark so my face is absolutely peppered

If so, be prepared to have hyperpigmentation for a very long time. I'm coming up to a year and still have the remains of some hyperpigmentation.

As for the active acne, you've probably tried a lot at this point but try retinoids if you haven't and give them at least a couple of months to see if things improve, perhaps couple them with some antibiotics like I did.
