I'm hoping someone will reply to this too haha, although I think it has a lot to do with your skin type.

For me, the best thing that has worked was aloe vera (from the gel or the plant). I'd recommend the lily of the desert kind because its in a convenient bottle and is relatively easy to find at a local Sprouts or some grocery stores, but really any aloe vera should work fine. What I do is apply the gel to the spot- as soon as the spot is in its reddish-pinkish state- either overnight, if the spot isn't on my cheeks, or for a couple hours during the day, if the spot is on my cheeks, and just wash it off when you goto wash your face. Usually after about a week, the spot is very faint and you can usually stop applying vera to it. Hope this helps.
