Hi !

I would like to know some of the best ways to fade hyperpigmentation. I have a lot of dark spots on my face due to my acne, and I was wondering what is the best way to get rid of them. If you know a good treatment please let me know, tell me if you tried it, how long did it take to be effective, how much did it cost etc. (sorry if my english is not the best, I'm a french speaker :P)

Thank youuu ! :)

Hi Aisha1995!

I've used Clinique's even better dark spot corrector for 4 months now and my skin looks amazing. I have fair skin, so my hyperpigmentation was pink in color and I had it mostly on my cheeks. It took about a month for me to notice minimal results, but now, 4 months later, my hyperpigmentation is all gone. For a 1 ounce bottle of this product, it cost $50. Although it is expensive for the amount in the bottle, that bottle lasted me 3.5 months, and I used it once a day.

If you do buy this product, make sure you stay out of the sun as much as possible and wear sunscreen. The sun darkens hyperpigmentation, so if you apply this product and then go in the sun, you will not see any results.

Hello!!

I had LOTS of hyperpigmentation on my entire face from a terrible breakout back in August/September. I have pale skin, so it's easy to see the red marks. Since the breakout, I've been using Paula's Choice 5% AHA Daily Treatment and am finally seeing amazing results! (So, about 2 months in). All of the hyperpigmentation from that breakout is gone and then the hyperpigmentation from a few spots that I've gotten since then are fading. What has also been really helping me is my Olay Advanced Cleansing System (just a spinning brush-- cheap alternative to Clarisonic). Along with the AHA, it helps exfoliate my skin so that the red marks go away faster.

Good luck! :D

Thank you ! I will check out the reviews, but do you thiink it would work on darker skin? I have brown skin so my hyperpigmentation is black :\

Since I don't have dark skin, I can't tell you from personal experience whether it would work or not. The product is marketed for acne marks and sun spots, so it should work for darker skin tone. There are many reviews on this product from many different skin tones of people, so maybe that will help.
