Since I was 14, I have always had acne. The acne was very mild and not an issue. Up until I reached 19 it became more severe, where cysts became apparent. Interesting because that is when I started using all sorts of prescriptions and remedies. I started picking at my acne and I used essential oils to soothe my skin, but I didn't realize that essential oils are drying. Actually, many oils like jojoba or grape seed are actually astringents and exfoliate which when used too much cause thinning of the epidermal layer and more harm in the future. Rubbing in itself is bad for inflammation and THIS is what I didn't realize. Now getting to now..I am 25 and I have no acne. I discovered what gets rid of acne for the most part, of course there are hormonal triggers but I know what will cure acne, especially if you have two pimples currently or a few break outs. Now if you have a lot of acne this method can work too but it will be hard bc bacteria from acne spreads from any kind of topical, method or anything. Think about it when you wash your face and you spread face wash on it or topical... The product touches acne inflamed areas and THEN skin that isn't inflamed or essentially clear... So acne spreads to other spots. So like I said, any method will not work suddenly for those with a lot of acne.

So let me get to how to get normalized skin, I know this method works because I have tried it for the past eight months and I haven't had one pimple. The method is actually called something I found online by a woman named Tracey. It is called the caveman regimen. It means you do nothing at all. You can splash your face with water in the shower or you can not let water touch your face entirely. At first you'll be oily for like five days. This is normal. Your skin is creating oil to actually protect your skin. Oily skin is good for you! The. After five days your skin will engine balanced. That will start your journey to clear skin. Trust me... Eight months I just splashed my face with tepid water not too cold not hot. More on the cooler side is best but don't use cold water since it can break cappilariers. Also it can dry skin just like hot water. Extreme temperatures are bad. Anyways I tried both cases... And the water worked the best. I am going to try the no water approach bc my issues have to do with over exfoliated skin from retin a, differin, jojoba you name it!!!!!!!!!!! I tried it alllllllllll to get rid of acne or scars and guess what, doing nothing has improved the tone of my skin... That and time. These products create more harm than good. So here begins my journey of no water caveman. I did it for a month and when I took the dead skin off my face was better. Less redness. Stronger skin. So anyway if you have acne do the water method. If you have exfoliated skin that's thin like mine do the caveman nothing approach, I'll keep you updated on things. I'm going to do this for as long as I can. Definitely a month. But I'll see if I can go longer.

I will definitely try this; ive been doing the same oily skin routine for about 3 months now and it has definitely not improved. In the mornings i use cetaphil oil cleanser and then apply a moisturizer lotion and then i repeat at night. i will try this water approach since im sick and tired of this approach that i am currently doing and it isnt working at all. do u apply sunscreen or any type of lotion to ur face or do u really just dont put anything on. great post though thanks !

Tks but my experience about not washing face or splash with water. More inflamed, redness and acne. I had leave my face abt a week and then I use cotton with water and exfoliate dead skin and then I freak out because too much acne and inflamed. My mom saw my skin red as fuck and i done with this:@:@
