Hi Everyone!

I have been dealing with an oily scalp for as long as I can remember, having to wash my hair every day. I find it very annoying and time consuming. My skin is also oily.

I have been taking spironolactone for my acne and was hoping that it might help with my oily scalp too but not noticing any difference yet. I am taking 50mg a day. Has anyone got any experience with this??

Lots of people including myself notice a huge difference with oily hair and face. It takes time though, so hang in there and you will see the results I am just finishing up my 3rd month on spiro and loving it. It's keeping me clear and and less oily. Awesome medication. I wish I would have found this medicine before taking accutane.

Thanks so much for replying, that's great news! it's early days for me yet, but i have high hopes for this drug! After 3 failed accutane courses i'm hoping this is my solution!
