Hi guys, so i will start of by saying that my acne started since i was around 11 or 12. The first year that i had acne it wasnt that horrible. Then it got worse. Right now i am 17 years old and i still have acne. I tried accutane but about 2 months i already quit because it was messing me up. Now my acne is slowly returning and i dont now what to do. In my family it is pretty now that we have problems with our stomachs. I believe my parents both had acne when they were children. My sister had bad acne but after taking birth control her acne stopped. My brother also still has horrible acne. He had bad stomach problems and he himself thought he mightve have IBS (irretable bowel syndorme).
You probably have fungal acne (caused by candida and/or malasezzia fungus) and overgrowth of candida fungus in your stomach/gut is probably causing your stomach/gut problems.
Fungal acne and fungal gut problems are caused by taking antibiotics and some other meds. Fungal acne can also be caused by hormonal issues just as ordinary acne can be. Accutane can make fungal acne and fungal gut problem worse.
Doctors know nothing about fungal skin conditions or fungal gut conditions.
Candida fungus which causes fungal acne also causes gut and stomach problems. You can control/fix your stomach/gut problems by taking oral Nilstat, which is very safe.
You can control the "acne" by doing the following -
1. Buy clotrimazole topical antifungal cream and apply it to the areas with "acne" 2-3 times a day. Topical antifungal creams are TOTALLY safe and some/most (depending on country) are available without a prescription.
2. Wash your hair in an antidandruff shampoo.
3. Do NOT apply any moisturisers or organic oils to the areas with acne unless your skin becomes verydry. Moisturisers and organic oils feed one type of fungal acne and all fungus loves moisture.
If you get back to me with answers to the questions below, I can provide targeted information to control your "acne".
Have you taken antibiotics or other meds.
Do you have one or more of the following (as well as the acne) - white coating on your tongue, dandruff, flaking skin, toenail fungus, itchy and/or painful skin, red rash/es, unexplained tiredness, headaches, "brain fog", stomach or gut problems (yes), sinus problems.
You may need a more targeted antifungal cream to control the "acne". I can provide information about this after I hear back from you.
I look forward to hearing back from you.
