Hi
I desperately need some help I am nearly 30 and have suffered with my skin on and off for years.. when I was around 25 my skin erupted all over my face and chin seriously depressed me and I started the regimen after about 8 months I was fully clear and so happy I didnt even wear make up. I was about 27 when it cleared up.
For the last year my chin acne has slowly creeped back nothing I couldnt handle at first but now it is awful ! The regimen has stopped working and I thought maybe Id need a stronger BP so I bought acnecide 5 percent and also alternated with Paulas choice BHA. Since using this combo my skin is terrible its been a good 6 weeks aswell so Ive given it time ! Huge red marks from previous spots and Im waking up with at least two new spots a day. These arent just white / black heads there under the skin painful cysts.
I cleanse with cetaphil always have done and now I feel like stripping my routine back and just using that alone but I am scared as the BPdoes shrink the spots over night but it isnt preventing new ones from appearing.
I know its hormonal but I dont want to go on the pill or take anything like Spiro. Ive ordered la Roche effaclar duo the 3 step kitas Ive heard a lot of good things about this however heard it gets worse before better and Im worriedmy acne will spread to my cheeks again.
Anyone have any suggestions on what worked for them ?

You probably now have fungal acne, not ordinary acne, and that why the regime for ordinary acne is not clearing your "acne".
Fungal acne is caused by taking antibiotics and some other meds. Fungal acne can also be caused by hormonal issues just as ordinary can be.
You can control the fungal acne by doing the following -
1. Buy clotrimazole topical antifungal cream and apply it to the areas with "acne" 2-3 times a day. Topical antifungal creams are TOTALLY safe and some/most (depending on country) are available without a prescription.
2. Wash your hair in an antidandruff shampoo.
3. Do NOT apply any moisturisers or organic oils to the areas with acne.
If you get back to me with answers to the questions below, I can provide targeted information to control your "acne" ..
Have you taken antibiotics or other meds. If you have taken antibiotics, which ones ?
Do you have one or more of the following (as well as the acne) - white coating on your tongue, dandruff, flaking skin, toenail fungus, itchy and/or painful skin, red rash/es, unexplained tiredness, headaches, "brain fog", stomach or gut problems, sinus problems.
You may need a more targeted antifungal cream to control the "acne". I can provide information about this afte I hear back from you.
I look forward to hearing back from you.
