PLEASE PLEASE I started Ocella about six weeks ago and since my last cycle my skin has been hell- it has been getting progressively worse. My skin is so much more oily that in usually is, resulting in small white heads all around my face. Normally, I only get cystic pimples right before my period and now they are popping up randomly and weekly. I am losing hope - my skin has not looked this bad in a long time. I have been canceling plans with friends because I am so insecure I really do not know what to do.

Please stop the medication and try to stop stressing , look into the caveman routine or just stop caring about your acne and it will go away or at least lesson. Please stop worrying so much about everything and it will clear up I promise.

BC can take a while to help skin. A while like months 3-6. During that time as your hormones does its thing, things can worsen. Hang in there. It may be helpful to see a derm or skin care specialist about a topical in the meantime. Don't give up and don't get discouraged.

I follow an extremely healthy diet, and am currently on Tazorac (just switched from Retin A) about a week ago. My doctor just prescribed antibiotics to help my skin as it adjusts to the birth control. I know I need to wait it out, but I am just a bit confused- my skin is getting more oily. Isn't that unusual for birth control? Has anyone else experienced this?

Well I'm telling you now u need to Wait alot longer than 6 weeks unfortunately, a tablet takes ages to reach the skin, the skin is the last place a tablet reaches u even might have to wait 4 months.
