When I turned 21 suddenly my face started going nuts after a staph infection was treated. My hair started to itch aLOT, fall out and I sometimes had some folliculitis bumps near or in my hair. Also had œweird hair growths on my face, chin and body. I tried to shave them off a few times but they just come back worse eugh. Acne seemed to be more focused on my cheeks, jawline and below chin and little on my neck now.

I™ll be heading to the doctor soon to see if I have pcos since my periods have been irregular. I was recently tested for thyroid and it came back a little high too. Will probably test for hormones and do some skin scrapes while Im at it? Ugh my student wallet cries haha

I was once on a very low dose of accutane 10mg before but i had to stop it then due to a uti complication. Not sure if i should try it again...

Currently, Im started to sparingly use a retinol/glycolic peel 1-2x per week. I use a mild cleanser, mosturizer and sunscreen for the day and the same regime at night - sunscreen + spot treat with some clindoxyl.

Would love to hear some advice or if you guys had experiences similar stuff! Its depressing when you™re the only one in the area having this kind of condition 82FF7546-33E4-4A46-8B5D-78D265F71C30.thumb.jpeg.e8018b9764b8b4a4c5e889ccd507b99e.jpeg

Definitely wait to get the results regarding a PCOS diagnosis as that may help you make a better decision about treatment options. Contrary to popular belief, accutane is not a cure all.
