Okay,
i dealt with bad cystic acne for years before I found something that worked for me. My skin was completely clear to the point where I would wear no make up. When I got the implant however, my face began to break out like crazy. I don't want to get it removed because I haven't had a period since I got it in (6+ months ago) and I got it because of my extreme period pain (would literally miss class/pass out/throw up bc of the severity of the pain). Has anyone tried anything to combat the acne due to the hormones in the implant? My own regimen has been failing me and the acne only gets worse....please help! Thanks.
I need help with this too - I've read it could be due to it beingprogesterone and that being high in testosterone? So means more oil! I've struggled with my skin all my life having oily skin but like just spots - was on the yasmin pill for a long time and it was okay (if I ate well and avoided dairy). Came on the implant and been getting big cystic spots on my chin, only two or one at a time and random spots on my cheek and now dandruff? Over oil production I think. Not sure if taking Estrogen tablets would improve things to counter the testosterone, I don't know if thats scientifically correct!
Stress and dairy/gluten make my skin worse but its not viable to avoid those things all the time in life!
