Hello. Masturbation for me cause acne. That's 100% sure for me, in my case. 21 years old, male.
Problem is, i no longer masturbate. But my body secrets a lot of testosterone and in this way it needs to eliminate from my body. And it does in wet dreams. I get about 4 wet dreams per month. One per week.
If i don`t get a wet dream in 2 weeks, i normally get clear skin. Once i have a wet dream, i got about 3-4 cystic pimples on my cheeks. I got the cystic pimples only on my cheeks, lower and upper.
I`ve tried saw palmetto, without success.
What can i do to stop acne?

Same issue with you. Does that mean have sex cause acne too? If so, our lifes are so miserable...

I`m currently on a 100.000 UI Vitamin A per day, along with 45 mg zinc, 6000 UI Vitamin D.
I`m using that dose of Vitamin A in hope my sebaceous glands will become smaller in time.

I'm a girl and whenever my testosterone spikes I also get dreams like that, and I always know that I'm going to get some painful bumps in the next few days. It's really sad. Like how are we supposed to even enjoy sex when we end up associating it with acne? Fucked up. Sadly I don't know how much you can do about it. I don't know if abstinence will do any good. I've read on a body building forum that testosterone goes down after orgasm (though it would be soaring RIGHT after) and it's going to a peak a week from then. In that case maybe just masturbate twice a week so it doesn't get a chance to build up? Haven't tried this but kinda had this theory for a while.

The theory is simple. Excess testosterone can be solved by taking Vitamin A / Accutane, not for long, maybe 3 months for getting the glands smaller. That's my theory, and it`s pretty simple. Trying other things it`s a waste of time. You can't fight with hormones.
