I'm taking a generic yaz called Loryna. Only 1 1/2 months but I'm feeling more moody and have nausea. I took a generic called Gianvi last time and had none of that. I've never taken real yaz but I'm considering it. What is your opinion ladies?
btw of course most doctors/ pharmacists claim they work the same but I say no way...otherwise why the price difference? Do you think the original is best?

From what my gyno said with birth control it can really go either way. The composition varies in a way that can make the brand name better than generic for one person but worse for the next. I've definitely heard people have both experiences. I think unfortunately when it comes tohormones it is totally trial and error.

I started with a generic, which worked perfectly for me. I had horrible acne before staring it, and my face completely cleared up in a year. However, I switched to the BRAND NAME half a year ago, and all hell broke loose. I noticed difference in my skin a month into it, but my doctor said it was impossible that the breakout was caused by the pill. So I stuck with it for another 5 months. I switched back to the generic a week ago, because my face looks like absolute shit. Cysts cover the lower half of my face, and white heads cover my forehead. I don't know how long it will take me get used to generic again, since my hormone was so screwed up by the brand name. Right now I'm just waiting for a miracle to happen. I've been checking my face very costly every morning and every time when I did it, I wanted to smash the mirror.

I'm now having more breakouts on my forehead. I hope it's just initial breakout. Otherwise I don't know what to make of it.
