any time i try to use liquid foundation, i get clogged pores/under the skin bumps. while i'm trying to clear my skin, i really don't need the extra acne. i want to feel good in my skin again but i can't go out bare faced. what kind of makeup do you guys use? lately i've just been covering up spots and old hyperpigmentation with neutrogina healthy skin cover stick, it's like a cream concealer.. it doesn't look great but at least its not clogging up my skin and making me break out. i'm jealous of girls that can pound on heavy foundation have look like they have flawless skin even if they don't- i'd be more confident if i could at least do that.

what do you guys do for makeup?

Try bourjois healthy mix concealer...it can be applied to your problem areas, then use a powder on your whole face to even out the texture.

Tarte Amazonian clay foundation is awesome and has a full coverage finish. It's pretty natural, free of parabens and silicons so it has a less likely chance to break you out. My derm also said that powder never clogs pores, I use one by physicians formula. Make sure the labels on your foundation say noncomedegenic, meaning it won't clog pores.

I use a talc free mineral powder by physicians formula (available in drug stores and it's pretty cheap) it's so light weight that it looks flawless, but it can build up to full coverage which is great for my scars. I'd give that a try :)

i find i can use any thick foundation but i have to use a washcloth to remove it after i've cleansed and then follow it up with a toner. it doesnt matter how well you wash your face there are always remnants of dead skin and makeup on your face once you are done. i use TN Dickinson's witch hazel toner everyday and then a few times a week i use the proactive toner with glycolic acid as well.

nice! as far as makeup i love dermablend. lol, i use their leg and body cover as my foundation because its nice and thick but it goes on easily and stays put for a really long time. it wont clog your pores either! i was reading reviews where people said they used it as their foundation so i figure it couldnt hurt to try it. i also like their intense powder camo foundation it covers so well. i used to use estee lauder double wear maximum coverage foundation in the blue tube and had good success with it. it all depends on how much coverage you need. when i was younger and my skin wasnt so scarred i loved bare minerals and wore that for years. it goes on so easily and is great stuff.

loreal true match powder does the trick for me. the coverage is pretty good for powder, it doesn't break you out, and applies well. you might want to add some concealer if you have a lot of active acne, though.

I've been using Everyday Minerals power foundation for years and I don't break out from it. Though I must admit, the coverage I get is good but not perfect because if I build I up too much it brings out my uneven texture and scars more. I'm also very oily so I loose some of the coverage from blotting half a dozen times a day.

I'm considering finding a cream foundation to start with thenset it with the powder.
