Day 17 month 9.
Skin is fine, got a reasonably large spot by chin area but i definitely shan't complain about one. Few TINY little pimples came up but I left some of my Anti Blemish clay Facemask on them last night and they were zapped away.
Went to the doctors today for a pill check up with the nurse. Doctor said last time he wanted to take me off maybe at 9 months, but nurse today gave me another 3 months to take me to one year. SO happy! Going on holiday in just over 2 weeks and on another holiday in about 6 weeks, so relieved that i won't have to worry about changing back to Yasmin till after my holidays. Very happy
It's great to hear that things are going so well How are you finding your new Clinique regime? Quick update from our end - my daughter's skin hasn't been as good this month compared to the month before when she had almost the whole month clear. She's had one or two throughout this month and always in the same place on her chin so the hyperpigmentation never has a change to improve which she is disappointed about and also the skin is becoming pretty scarred in that area. Still have to stay positive as it a lot better than 3/4 months ago.
Hi there! Haven't spoke in a while. Hows your daughter getting on? And did you manage to get another Dianette prescription? I just went to the nurse today and she's given me another 3 months to take me to a year, going to change after that back to Yasmin i think
Day 21 of month 9.
Skin has played up a bit today. Couple of not very nice pimples my chin/mouth/jaw area. But... I am off ill. Got a not very nice flu- feel awful!
Had a pimple or two come up around mouth past couple of days, wondering if this was due to coming down with the flu.
Hi there - sorry to hear you are ill - I expect you're right and that is the reason why you have had a bit of a breakout. Apart from that, it's good hear that things are going well with your skin. My daughter has definitely seen a big improvement - still getting spots but not like before. She has a rough patch where she used to get spots continuously, but I can see that it looks a bit better than it did a month ago so that's encouraging. She has got another 3 months worth, which she is really pleased about. I'm so pleased that you have too!
Day 24 of month 9.
Skin is fine- content with it

Ah thats good! it definitely still is different throughout different times of the month isn't it!
Thats good she has another 3 months- is she planning to change after that? I think after this pack i've been allowed i'll be going back onto Yasmin again
Day 16 of month 10.
Not great. I'll still get a reasonably bad breakout every month which leaves me with very bright red scarring. My scarring is getting quite bad, more and more comes with every breakout. Really would like to go onto Roaccutane. Just want to not have to worry about my skin constantly. Tired and fed up of it all.
May have a sunbed today to see if i can dry this horribleness out.
Hi there - my daughter is kind of feeling the same - she is never completely clear. She always has one or two spots which as you say leave marks behind, however, in general her skin is a lot better than it was around Christmas time. We were disappointed that our GP has prescribed the pill, Rivigedon when finishes this last batch of Dianette. As far as I have been able to find out, it isn't particularly skin friendly but my GP assures me that now Dianette has calmed the hormones down, this pill should maintain it. Have you spoken to your doctor about Roaccutane?

So annoying isn't it! I really wanted crystal clear skin from Dianette, haha.
Oh- thats not good! Why not Yasmin? Thats definitely what i'm going onto after! I'm happy with my skin most the time but theres still a week every month I'm like urgh and things popping up here and there. I just want my lovely skin back! The scarring is so terrible! Feels like such an ongoing battle doesn't it. Yasmin could go two ways for me; either it could go back to how my skin was for the most part and be better than ever, or go back to how it was at the end and be horrendous. Knowing my luck now and how my skins changed it'll go bad.
I spoke to the derm about it, and she said wed look into it should it return after Dianette as a more permanent solution.
Not sure why my GP hasn't prescribed Yasmin, when I asked her she said trust her! My daughter is really worried that her skin will flare up and she will have more scarring. You're right it is an ongoing battle! I know this isn't ideal but I guess if your skin gets worse on Yasmin, your doctor has said you can think about roaccutane which is a more permanent solution. My friend's son is taking it has been on it for 4 months and is seeing great results. So annoying though as with you we had hoped that the Dianette would sort everything out and I guess to an extent it has, but she still has one or two spots most of the time, which isn't the end of the world I know, but they leave marks which seem to hang around for ages. Will you keep posting once you have changed to Yasmin - I would really like to know how you are getting on

Yeah i'll 100% keep updating- will definitely be logging my Dianette to Yasmin journey!
I'm on my first month of dianete and I noticed no difference in the first two weeks but I'm now near the end of my third week and I'm really worried about the week break, my skin has improved so much and all my cysts are gone and I really don't want to be back to the start, anyone be able to tell me if I will break during the week break?

I was definitely still breaking out for months though
