I am in vitex for almost three months now and on saw palmetto for six. I have no side effects, but also no great improvement on acne. Although, as my acne is mild, i dont know if it could be worse without the supps. I figure that these two are working because my pms in the previous two cycles was very improved.
On my current menstrual i notice a late for about 5 days. I supposed that from my ovulation which was also a few days later. My cycle has been clock accurate since now, regardless the acne issues. Is it coincidential, is the vitex fixing smth and caused the late, has the vitex changed my cycle???
What do you girls think? Should i stop it?
when i began vitex, my cycle was late. i have pcos so my cycle can be irregular anyway, but it took around 6 - 7 weeks for me to come on. vitex also made my periods lighter and shorter. how much vitex are you taking? it can take a few months to have a full effect on skin, it only took around two months to show an improvement for me though x

I take 90 mg daily. My cycle was stable till now. So, do you think it is messing or fixing things?
90mg sounds a little low...only from what i know. its hard to say. i took it because my cycle was irregular, so i took it to regulate my cycle and create hormonal balance primarly which had a secondary effect on my acne. I also took 400mg a day in four tablets (two in morn two at night) which is the reccomended dose for the brand i was and am now using and that seems to be the reccomended starting dose on most brands but it depends on what brand you use and what you are taking it for. vitex isn't right for everybody. if you feel its messing you up more than helping then go with your gut. thats what i did with saw palmetto
