It contains estradiol and chlormadinone (synthetic progestin) which has antiandrogenic properties. I started using Belara when I was 17 years old with some breaks, then at the age of 19, when I got a sudden cystic acne flare, it helped me to clear it up quite fast. However, my period used to disappear sometimes, so I stopped taking Belara. Good luck on it!
Bump. Why is this not available in the U.S?
It costs a lot of money in Europe and USA to get drugs approved. The FDA is pretty expensive and strict. And then I believe each European country has their own version of the FDA, and that's more money and time getting it approved. If I remember correctly, Belara distribution started in South America, where there is very little regulation on new drugs.

Thank you for the reply. Do you think it will ever be available in the U.S.? I can't seem to find any information about it going through clinical trial or getting FDA approved.
Is it available in Canada? Pianina, no IB?
