Here in Germany I've been told there is only the vaseline one. Tried to get Diana Yvonne's but the site is unavailable. :/

If it's working, should it dissolve over night or in a few days?

Go on to Amazon, or order it from SkinLabratories. Its just SA. Vaseline is technically non-comedogenic, but you have to make sure to completely wash off every trace. I hate it. Anyway, you can't get 20% in the US either, unless you order it online. Try to get one without any other ingredients.

If you lose hope at barely two months.. Wow.

Speaking for myself, though I'm not losing hope at 2 months, the problem is that my skin was clear up to a few months ago and now it's full of marks and scars that will take ages to go away. So it is harder to wait it out than if I had acne for years. Then you have "nothing to lose" but now every new inflamation damages my skin further. sad.png

Anonymous, let's hold on for another 2 months :)

I am trying Jullisss but its getting harder knowing each new zit will take time to leave!grrr!!

ok Update: 9 weeks and 2 days: has a clogged pore for so long and I got my period, and now its a zit!hate that!Wonder if its the chocolate bar I ate or the period??Anyway other than that, marks still lingering, skin smooth but could do better in terms of cheeks!still feel and fear a breakout on my cheeks!how are doing?

and I am still on azithromycin and clindaycin topical!have re introduced AHA toner which very strangely was capable of keeping my skin clear alone for a couple of months..I swear nothing but one wipe at night!!miss those days!!It was clear skin, not a mark or zit in sight!I wonder if it loses efficacy over time and stopped working or I got too stressed because of my breakup and it could no longer handle it!!lol

Anyway please keep posting!I am with you on this

And I am still hopeful, although doctor feels I must start on Isotretinoin too but no way I am going back to the drug that almost made me lose all my hair!!horrible!!

what do u think Greengables...enough spiro can keep us clear alone?thanks

I joined this site just so i could comment on this!! Lol. Im in the exact same boat and oddly enough also started on november 7th. I have been taking 100mg since the beginning PLUS yaz which contains i think 25..? Anyways. Not sure if it was the yaz or spiro cuz i started both around the same time but the first month......TERRIBLE breakouts. My acne wasnt super bad before but id get a couple cysts around my period. I havent had a cyst since then however i too am getting those clogged pores that turn into pimples :( so frustrating because ive NEVER experienced this before spiro. Im sticking it out im just terrified its going to wreck my skin in the mean time and leave me trying to repair it forever. I do have one big red angry zit right now and im confused cuz i havent had one of these since the first month. Are you girls seeing improvement in the clogged pores yet??

Another question...ive been reeeally debating getting a clarisonic but am scared since ive heard some awful stories about acne prone girls breaking out like crazy. Im thinking this would help the clogged pores though...have any of you used one successfully? Thanks gals!

Hey, I'm 2 and a half months in, and have the same weird clogged pore situation. However, all the huge ones are nicely clearing up, it's the tiny little pin-sized ones that are bothering me because sometimes they progress to pimples in the course of one night. But there is only so much I can do about it...

My skin was beginning to look really good, now I got some inflamations but I see a connection there with a few days of excess chocolate, yoghurt and dairy consumption :P something I normally never do.

Overall, I haven't given up, but will see what my derm says next week. It's a sloooow process but definitely better than when I started.

It sounds like you need to incorporate some kind of topical treatment. Tea tree oil, salicylic acid, glycolic acid, Retin-A?

Im currently using salicylic acid cleanser twice a day, aha bha clearing gel, and tea tree oil as spot treatment

I spend ALOT of money on topical products whenever i think something may work. I just ordered michael todd true organics acne system that ive heard great things about so we will see :/

I just thought i would let everyone know i have only been using the michael todd organics system for 3 days and it has already helped my skin! Those clogged pores seem to be going away finally and some came to a head and i was able to extract them without destroying my skin in the process. But i was wondering if any of you have little red dots on your face where you've never even had acne?? They arent raised they just look like small acne marks but they arent :/ im wondering if that has something to do with the spiro. They showed up within the last month gradually. So confused and they make my overall complexion look much worse because of all the redness. :(

ugh, i am almost at the 8 week mark and i am still breaking out and getting cysts. i can deal with the regular acne but not the cysts. i am going to the derm tomorrow to ask for an antibiotic to help with the cysts i have now and then to see about starting the process for accutane. i have had 16 cortisone shots in the last 2 months and dont know how much more of this crap i can take. i dont want anymore shots but then again my cysts dont go away either. i figure it will take me a month or longer to get the accutane so that will give this more time to work but honestly i just dont think spiro is going to be it for me. i get such clogged pores and nothing seems to clear them out and now even my small little zits are so inflamed and hurt so darn much. i never had anything like this in my life!! all the differin seems to do is irritate my skin and my acne more and makes it bigger. i need something to make this all go away and unfortunately i never found a topical that has worked on my cysts.

I know a bunch of people already told you this, but I want to stress that it takes longer than 2 months! Give it AT LEAST 4-5 before you say it's not working for you. If you're here, I'm assuming you've tried everything so far and nothing has worked. There is a very good chance this will work for you and keep you completely clear without having to go through some weird face washing/lotioning/medicating ritual.

Going on accutane instead of waiting longer on spiro is such a bad idea I can't believe a dermatologist would be ok with it.

i would totally wait too but i already have scarring from acne a few years ago and have been getting a lot of cysts and nodules too while being on the spiro. i have had 20 cortisone injections just in the last 2 months alone because my cysts dont go away at all. so because i have struggled on and off since i was 19 with cystic acne and since its so bad now they dont want to wait much longer for the accutane. believe you me i have been asking for it for years and they have literally tried everything else on me. i will stay on the spiro the entire time i am on accutane and afterwards to avoid a relapse.

just a note i saw a different derm i think back in 2004 who gave me accutane after 6 months of treating me without even asking for it. i got scared and decided not to go through with it because my acne was more mild then and i wasnt getting as many cysts. now its like all i get is cysts so i really just want this hell to be over with because i cant take much more at this point. i never thought back then it was going to take another 9 years to get a derm to give me freaking accutane thats for sure.

one more thing i wont be starting accutane until march 8th or so, so that gives the spiro more time to work as well so if the spiro decides to kick in great but if not then i have a back up plan in place. i would love nothing more than the spiro to start working but i dont have time to just wait 4-5 months for it to do its thing.

ok..update...very late..but I thOught I would rather say when I have something good to report.

Good news..finished my 6 months on spiro, better news..I HAVE NO ACTIVE ACNE AND HAVENT HAD IT FOR ABOUT THREE WEEKS OR SO!!

I dont know if this is success but I think it could get better.I have not had a pimple in very long, like a proper zit but I have small bumps here and there after I play with makeup!

ok..one question, will I completely clear and have good normal skin?I hope these lil things go away too!like when I feel my cheek, its a lil bumpy, I would like it smoother.

Anyway thats my two cents.

also my periods havent stopped in so long.I have them so often now..light but laways there almost!wil lthis sort out itself with time??I cant take BCP'S!

THANKS

I have been clear for awhile and my feeling is that my skin look better when I use topical treatments as well. I use a face wash with salycilic acid or glycolic acid once a day or so and topical prescription Retin-A and Aczone every night. These products paired with Spiro has been like a dream team for my skin.
