first and foremost here's a little bit about my skin: (I think this is helpful to know because different things work for different skin types) I'm fairly oily in my t-zone with no dryness anywhere else or oiliness. My biggest problem areas are clusters of pimples on my cheek, chin, and forehead. I rarely get cysts - so when I do they are caused by certain foods or stress. The pimples I mostly get are "clogged pores" seemingly unpoppable making my skin look bumpy. I am a picker so I do have hyperpigmentation and scars left over.
Secondly, I've tried countless products (murad, acnefree, xout, aveeno products, clean and clear, neutrogena, etc.) and home remedies (apple cider vinegar, lemon, salt water, aloe vera, etc.) so when I heard about the caveman regimen and that it required nothing I was intrigued. To summarize what the regimen is, that you go without washing your face forever, only exfoliating with a wet cloth once a week or even two. It's based on the idea that in the past people didn't notice have harmful products with various chemicals that damage the natural balance of the skin yet, most seemingly had hug even problems with acne. Also, ever noticed that some guys don't do anything to their face at all, ask them and they say they splashed some water on their face, yet have perfect skin maybe a few blemishes butnothing major. (forgot to mention but no makeup allowed!!! big yikes for me)
so I decided to try it, to keep myself accountable and help anybody else. I started about 3 days ago March 6, 2017. And here's how it's going: (I'll upload pictures)
day 1: hard to tell but the pictures are where im wearing a striped shirt and my hair is down
I have TONS of small pimples which I hope they rid of by the end of this
day 2-3: I pickedbut old habits die hard
pictures: grey and black top
its were is a purging period to get rid of all the buildup in your skin but it gets bworse before it gets better
(to be completely honest this is killing my selfesteem and confidence)
I tried this a few months ago. I lasted 3 weeks. I could not handle the purging process. It was awful! It made my acne the worst it has ever been and thats including teenage years. Once I went back on BP it helped clear alot up, but I was left with very red pigmentation scars along my jaw and mouth. This was back in January and im still trying to reduce them. After Caveman I decided I really didnt want to go back to chemical products. I still kept in sunscreen (I live in Australia so its a must), and I use BP (though im seeing my dermatologist tomorrow to see if I can now stop the BP) and im now using Manuka Honey mgo 400+ twice a day for 2-3 hours. It. Is. AMAZING! I remember the beginning of my second day, I woke up and so much of the redness had faded and my cysts had reduced....IN ONE DAY!! Ive now been on it for a few weeks and my skin gets better and better. I usually have 1 or 2 cysts alll the time along with all the other acne zits and now ive only had 2 cysts in a month! And one was rather tiny for a cyst. But this is my story, and if the caveman regimen works for you that is amazing too. I really hope it does, so good luck with it.

imo the caveman regiment is probably good as a "reset" to see how bad your skin is without any treatments/creams.. and then from there, you can try and find something that works(?)
