There is no appropriate subcategory or what should I put this under: Ao+ mist which is bacteria. I used a lot of chemicals on my skin and a friend suggeested that I redo my biome. I was wondering if others had any experience with this product. I've on month 1, used one bottle and not really noticing any difference, positive or negative. Anyways, what would you put bacteria treatment under? Don't mistake it for a bacteria killer. This is putting live bacteria on your skin aka the opposite approach of everything I've always done and that most of us do. Not affiliated with the company btw. It's from Mother DIrt if you want to have a look. I'm using their face wash and ao+ mist but not the shampoo....Just dry shampoo seemed kinda shady to me.

Here's my review of the Mother Dirt AO+ Mist. I waited about 3 months to post it and normally other than reading reviews on this site I never post. I am 27, had acne since age 13. I have seen 7 different dermatologists over the years. I have used at one point or another, every single prescription acne product other than accutane. I've used retin-A at multiple strengths, aczone, azeleic acid, at least 3 combo brands of benzoyl and clindamycin, sulfur wash, etc. etc. I have been on multiple courses of doxy over the years. Also tried spironolactone and multiple types of birth control. I also did laser with the derm - I did two courses of levulan PDT and v-beam. The experience was very frustrating and I continued to have breakouts. Each regimen was carefully supervised, I tried not to overload on products and gave all of them lengthy trials of several months and although it probably helped somewhat I almost always had at least one active breakout.
In November I started using the mother dirt mist (terrible name, not sure why it was changed from AO Biome). I use it morning and night and also use the cleanser. I gradually noticed a few things. One, my skin was less reactive. I simultaneously cut down on the retinol and completely got rid of acne cleansers and I stopped having issues with redness and peeling. Second, I was having fewer breakouts. I started to cut out the topical prescriptions that were antibacterial (the benzoyl/clinda combo and the salicylic wash) and just used aczone 7.5% at night. It's now March and I've cut back to mother dirt cleanser, mist, and olay regenerist serum (this works perfectly as a moisturizer - if I want something stronger I use cerave PM). I occasionally (~once a week ) use retin-A and I'll use the aczone maybe 3-4 times a week. This is the best my skin has looked in years. I went to a new derm to get her opinion and she said since I didn't really have any active breakouts it was more about hyperpigmentation fading over time and didn't recommend any additional treatment (which was literally the first time I have left the dermatologist without prescriptions).
I am finally comfortable recommending this product. I don't know why it is working but I know that my adult acne was very different from my teen acne and this is the best thing I have ever found for my skin. I don't know if other people would have the same success but I am truly grateful for this product. Every day I wake up and don't have a painful new breakout I can't believe it.

I've also tried Retin-A, Clindamycin, antibiotics, birth control, different soaps, Proactive, etc, and nothing has had lasting effects for me. I started having skin problems around age 13 and I've struggled with it up to age 27. At that point I was over trying and decided to stop washing my face completely out of pure frustration. I figured I could do nothing and still get the same results from using a million products. Then I did some research into what would happen when I stopped washing my face, and I discovered the caveman method. After a few months of the caveman method and coping with the dead skin and ashy look of my face, I noticed that my acne was clearing up nicely. I also supplemented the caveman method with the oil cleansing method on days when I felt my skin needed to be exfoliated. I did this regimen for about a year before I decided to try Mother Dirt AO+ mist in addition to the caveman and oil cleansing. It's been almost 2 months using the mist and I absolutely love it. I'm not sure if the product itself is good or if it's a combination of all 3 methods, but my skin has never been better. My face isn't 100% clear and I still have some scarring, but I don't get breakouts anymore and when I do get the occasional whitehead, it heals way faster than before and doesn't leave a heavy scar. I've also noticed that blackheads just force themselves out either on their own or with a light exfoliation with my fingers. All in all, the combination of the caveman method, the oil cleansing method, and the Mother Dirt AO+ mist have worked wonders for me.
